On June 14, 2019, the Carr Cares Foundation hosted the highly anticipated “Pitch Flint: Young Entrepreneur Challenge 2019” at the Ferris Wheel in downtown Flint, Michigan. In partnership with 100k ideas and the Community Foundation of Flint, the Carr Cares Foundation was able to put on its first inaugural student business pitch competition during Brandon Carr’s annual charity weekend. The competition featured six contestants between the ages of 12-15, whom competed for the opportunity to win as much as $5,000 of grant money to kickstart their business.
